The science

The science behind every bottle

Every ingredient, every dose, every claim we make traces back to published, peer-reviewed research. We share all of it so you can verify it yourself.

The flagship molecule

R3HBG is the ketone your body already knows.

When you fast or train hard, your liver converts fatty acids into beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB). Your brain, heart, and muscles prefer it over glucose for sustained output. It's not a backup fuel — it's a better one.

R3HBG is the bioidentical form of BHB. Not a salt. Not a precursor. The same molecule your cells already recognise, wrapped in a patented liposomal shell so it survives your gut and reaches your bloodstream intact.

How liposomal delivery works

Most exogenous ketones never reach your bloodstream. Ours does.

Liposomal delivery is the difference between a dose you paid for and a dose you actually absorb.

Encapsulation

R3HBG is wrapped in a phospholipid shell, the same material your cell membranes are made of. This protects it from stomach acid and digestive enzymes that would destroy a free-form ketone on contact.

Absorption

The liposomal shell fuses directly with the intestinal wall, carrying R3HBG through intact. Most exogenous ketones break down before they absorb. This one doesn't.

Utilization

Intact R3HBG enters your bloodstream and is taken up by muscles, brain, and organs. Your cells convert it to acetyl-CoA and feed it straight into the energy cycle. No conversion steps. No waste.

Liposomal micro-beads

The same ketone your liver makes when you fast. We wrap it in liposomes so it actually gets absorbed instead of passing straight through.

How ketones improve performance

28%

More distance covered at the same effort

Trained cyclists adding exogenous ketones to their fuelling strategy covered significantly more distance than those on carbohydrates alone, at the same perceived effort.

Cox et al., 2016 — Cell Metabolism

50%

Less glycogen burned during exercise

Athletes who took ketone esters alongside carbohydrate burned half as much stored muscle glycogen. That means more fuel in reserve when you need it most.

Holdsworth et al., 2017 — Cell Metabolism

2x

Faster muscle recovery signals

Post-exercise ketone intake doubled key recovery markers, including mTORC1 activation and glycogen resynthesis, compared to carbohydrate alone.

Vandoorne et al., 2017 — Journal of Physiology

18%

Sharper working memory under fatigue

When blood ketone levels were elevated, subjects performed significantly better on working memory tasks during sustained cognitive load. Less mental fog, more clarity when it counts.

Murray et al., 2016 — Journal of Physiology
