Layout & Composition Guidelines

Tecton’s layout system is designed to communicate clarity, precision, and trust. Whether you’re creating digital content, printed materials, or presentations, our layouts ensure a clean hierarchy and consistent visual flow that reflects our science-driven identity.

Grid Systems

Consistency starts with a reliable grid. Our layouts are based on flexible, modular grid systems to support both structure and creativity.

Web & Digital

  • Use a 12-column grid for responsive design across desktop and mobile.

  • Apply a standard 8px spacing system to define padding, margins, and gutters.

  • Keep key content within a max-width of 1200px for desktop for readability.

  • Center primary content and CTAs for clear user flow.

Print & Packaging

  • Use a baseline grid system to align content across columns.

  • Maintain a consistent column structure (e.g., 2, 3, or 4 columns) based on format.

  • Align product information, ingredients, or scientific data to a structured grid with generous margins.

Margins & Spacing Rules

Spacing brings clarity. Use space generously to help the eye rest and to create a sense of trust and simplicity.

  • Maintain 24px–32px padding around content blocks on digital layouts.

  • Use 32px–64px spacing between major content sections (e.g., hero → product features).

  • In print, ensure at least 0.5” margins around all edges, and avoid placing critical content near trim edges.

  • Maintain clear space around logos and CTAs to prevent crowding and protect brand visibility.

Templates & Use Cases

We provide approved templates to help maintain brand consistency across common content types:

Social Media Posts

  • Use a 1:1 or 4:5 aspect ratio for feed content.

  • Include brand elements like the Tecton icon, photography, or graphic overlays.

  • Always maintain proper logo clear space and hierarchy of message.

Digital Ads

  • Prioritize bold headlines and minimal copy.

  • Keep CTAs visible and high-contrast.

  • Use photography or gradients that support energy, science, or focus.

Presentations

  • Use the Tecton slide master templates with built-in grid alignment and font styles.

  • Avoid overcrowding slides—aim for one idea per slide with space to breathe.

  • Include consistent headers and footers with logo placement and section titles.

Every Tecton layout should reflect precision, clarity, and visual confidence. A disciplined layout system supports our core message—fueling human potential through smart science and clear communication.
