The patented molecule
One molecule, understood properly.
R3HBG is the bioidentical form of the ketone your liver makes during a fast — and the only one recognised by the FDA as a New Dietary Ingredient.

The framework
Four ways to deliver a ketone.
Every exogenous ketone on the market takes one of four approaches. They are not equivalent, and the differences are the whole story.
Ketone salts
The molecule bound to sodium, calcium or magnesium. Cheap and stable, but the mineral load caps the usable dose well below where it does anything.
Ketone esters
Effective and well studied, but expensive to make and notoriously unpalatable — which is why they largely stayed in research settings.
Butanediol
A precursor rather than a ketone. Your liver has to convert it, which adds a step and a variable.
R3HBG
The free bioidentical molecule inside a liposomal shell. No mineral load, no conversion step, no masking required.
Where R3HBG fits
From bottle to bloodstream.
In the body
What happens after you drink it.
The liposome carries R3HBG through the stomach intact. Past the gut wall, the shell breaks down and the molecule enters circulation as free beta-hydroxybutyrate.
From there it is fuel: your brain and muscles take it up through transporters that already exist, and burn it alongside glucose rather than instead of it.
Cleaner fuel
Why a second fuel matters.
Glucose is fast but volatile — it spikes, and then it leaves. Ketones burn steadier, and because your body can run both at once, having them available means output holds when glucose alone would dip.
Regulatory and quality
What NDI No. 1354 means.
A New Dietary Ingredient notification is the FDA's process for ingredients not in the food supply before 1994. It requires a manufacturer to submit safety evidence and for the agency to review it without objection.
R3HBG is the only ketone to have completed that process. It is not an approval — the FDA does not approve dietary supplements — but it is a meaningful bar, and no other ketone on the market has cleared it.
Every batch is third-party tested for identity, purity, heavy metals and microbial contaminants. Certificates of analysis are available on request.
For professionals
Technical questions.
Need something more specific?
Is R3HBG the same as BHB?
Yes — R3HBG is the (R) enantiomer of beta-hydroxybutyrate, which is the form your body produces and uses. Some products contain a racemic mix that includes the (S) form, which your body handles differently.
Do I need to be in ketosis?
No. R3HBG raises blood ketones directly, independent of diet.
Is it safe long term?
Beta-hydroxybutyrate is a molecule your body produces daily. Safety and tolerability have been studied in healthy adults; see the references on the science page.
Can I get a certificate of analysis?
Yes. Contact us with your batch number and we'll send the COA for that lot.
