Trademark Rules & Guidelines

Tecton Ketones™

Effective Date: May 7, 2025

Tecton’s trademarks and intellectual property are core strategic assets that reflect the trust of our customers, the scientific innovation behind our products, and the integrity of our global brand. This document outlines the official rules for using all Tecton-owned trademarks, logos, product names, taglines, and visual brand elements across all channels and markets.

These guidelines apply to all employees, contractors, agencies, vendors, distributors, licensees, and affiliated partners of Tecton Ketones, Tecton Biosciences, and any related subsidiaries or intellectual property holders.

Scope of Trademarks Covered

The following are examples of Tecton™ intellectual property subject to this policy, including but not limited to:

  • Tecton Ketones™

  • Tecton Research™

  • Tecton™

  • GreenNano™

  • Edge Performance™

  • R-3 Hydroxybutyrate Glyceride™

  • R3HBG™

  • GLP-1 Health™

  • Metabolic Restoration™

  • Native Ketones™

  • Bioidentical Ketones™

  • Betone™

The Tecton™ logo, wordmarks and any visual identities associated with our products, services, or campaigns

This list is not exhaustive. All current and future names, phrases, logos, or taglines developed by or licensed to Tecton are protected assets and subject to these guidelines.

Proper Trademark Use

Always use the full and correct form of the trademark exactly as registered or claimed. Trademarks must be used as adjectives, not nouns or verbs.

Example:

Correct: “Tecton Ketones™ deliver sustained energy.”
Incorrect: “I’m taking Tecton before my workout.”

Include the ™ symbol for all claimed marks and the ® symbol for those officially registered with the appropriate trademark authority. Use the applicable symbol at least once per document, page, or major marketing material. Do not omit, substitute, or modify these symbols without approval.

Prohibited Usage

Do not abbreviate, pluralize, possess, stylize, translate, or otherwise modify any Tecton trademarks. Do not create unauthorized derivatives (e.g., “Tectoners,” “Betone Shots,” “KetoneFuel+”) without written legal approval. Do not use Tecton trademarks in a way that implies partnership, endorsement, or affiliation with other brands, platforms, or companies unless formally approved.

Do not incorporate Tecton trademarks into domain names, URLs, usernames, social media handles, app names, product SKUs, or business entities without prior written authorization.

Logo and Visual Identity Usage

Only official, unaltered logo files provided by Tecton design or marketing may be used. Do not stretch, crop, rotate, recolor, distort, animate, or place text or imagery over the logo. Always maintain a minimum clear space equal to the height of the capital “T” in “Tecton” around the logo. Use only approved colors and formats as defined in the brand style guide.

Logos may be used on product packaging, marketing assets, promotional items, presentations, and digital materials only with approval from Tecton brand, legal, or marketing leadership. For international use, all elements must comply with local trademark laws, packaging regulations, and cultural restrictions as determined by local counsel.

Co-Branding and Partnership Rules

All co-branded materials or product integrations must receive written legal and brand approval. Tecton trademarks must remain visually distinct and may not be overshadowed, combined with, or subordinated to partner brand marks.

International Use

Use of the ® symbol is restricted to countries in which the mark is officially registered. Use the ™ symbol in all other countries unless advised otherwise by legal. Adhere to local symbol placement, formatting, and labeling requirements when distributing or marketing Tecton products internationally.

If a mark is not yet registered in a given country, the ™ symbol may be used to assert rights in that market, but legal enforcement may vary.

Trademark Symbol Use

  • Use ™ to indicate unregistered trademarks or claims under common law

  • Use ® only after official registration has been confirmed with the relevant trademark office

  • When in doubt, default to ™ and consult legal

Common Violations

  • Altering or abbreviating trademarks

  • Using trademarks generically or descriptively (e.g., “Tectons are great”)

  • Leaving off trademark symbols

  • Combining with other terms (e.g., “KetoTecton,” “BHBtane”)

  • Applying the ® symbol where no registration exists

  • Inconsistent application across global assets

Trademark Misuse Reporting
Trademark violations—internal or external—should be reported to support@tectonketones.com. These include unauthorized use in media, digital ads, white-labeled products, unlicensed vendors, competitor infringement, or domain misuse.

Questions and Approvals

All trademark use questions should be directed to your team lead or Tecton’s legal counsel. New product names, logos, or taglines must undergo formal clearance before public release.
